  Why do they walk so slowly?

  i have only to turn into any road or street and if there are any jws operating within my area of vision i can pick them out.. it may only be something that occurs in uk but they actually walk at half speed.

  yet if i see any local jw in the town shopping they fly along, except the very old ones.

  we are in the end of the end time.

  The slower you walk the longer the meeter runs. I used to walk slow because I hated talking to people about something they just were'nt interested in.

  i was so underwhelmed that i can't remember who even won it.

  i'm having a conversation with a couple of people in my office as i type this.

  i'm asking the question "why did god allow satan to kill job's family?

  " i told them that to say he did it to prove job's faithfullness and that he got even more in return for his faithfulness is not a good enough answer.

  i've seen how some are so burdened by the fact that they were witnesses, that literally, every day is a struggle.

  I use to live next to a j-dub family. 4 out of 6 were on depression medication. I use to wonder how a family who were very very active witnesses could be so depressed. I would get depressed every saturday morning when I looked out my window and saw them going out in f.s. and I was not. Yet here they were doing what they were "supposed" to do. I was glad when they moved although they were nice.

  what are some stupid analogies that you here dubs use all the time to explain their faulty, destructing teachings?

  Five meetings = 5 stepping stones to cross a river. If you skip one you might fall in to the worldy river. You might have avoided that bad thing that happened if you were at the meeting.

  I keep JWD up at work all day. I frequent this site throughout the day. When I get home at night, the last thing I want to do is look at a computer screen. I quess what I'm asking is does anyone else here have a job? ;) It just seems that thier are a lot of the same people signed on about the same time I am and I was just wondering if they too are at work or at home?

  What was your most humiliating point of being a jw?

  mine was when my mom signed me up to sit at a table at our local university.

  we had to sit there and talk to students as they passed by our table.

  a few people came up to start a conversation and i didn't even know what they were talking about.
